Not too much going on at the house but lots elsewhere.

Rich and I spent the first half of the day running errands.  First to show him the sinks, faucets, etc at the supply place.  Then we spent 2 hours in the lighting store and will be going back one day next week to finalize that stuff.  WOW.  Next, the appliance store where they were having a labor day sale (lucky us) and we got the dishwasher and drop-in stove (GE Profile stuff) ordered.  Then, we hit the flooring store to check out carpet and hardwood but they were busy and we only got the quote for the carpet and luckily, that is UNDER the budget.  YAH.  :-)

Then, Rich headed to the house after picking up Mike and some supplies and worked on getting the boxes up for phone, network, cable and speakers along with drilling the holes.  We also picked up the sample maple cabinet door and the mongo-chain of countertop samples.  We'd already kind of agreed on one BUT there was one in the batch that called both of our names for the kitchen and it matches the backsplash tile that I'd seen and picked up.  So, we have a winner there!  Tomorrow, I'll be trying to decide on the countertops for the 3 bathrooms.  Fun!  On to the pictures!

What's new you ask?

The BLUE boxes are going to be locations for phone, network, cable, and the speaker volume controls.

Looking from the dining room into the kitchen - more blue boxes...

The electrician is almost done - these are new.  They're for the recessed lights in the great room

The light over the shower in the master...

The picture at left is the cabinet door.  Matches the Broyhill "Fontana" stuff that we have fairly well.

The picture at right is a glimpse of the door with a tile that I'm fond of to be used in part of the backsplash along with the Formica winner, shown below is Formica's "Colorado Slate".
